IT Data Engineer

Job Description About the role:
As the IT Data Engineer, you will understand how data is generated, used, and leveraged to improve manufacturing operations. You will shape the generation, storage, transport, and use of data from multiple systems. Customers who need to use this data to improve processes and make decisions will come to rely on the IT Data Engineer for guidance and stewardship of the data they need. You will be involved in the deployment of new technologies and upgrades to existing systems to ensure new data can be tied into existing data structures for increased business intelligence. Additionally, you will be the liaison between Global IT data infrastructure teams and the manufacturing site to ensure the Global systems and efforts are meeting the needs of the site. You will report to the IT Lead. How you will contribute:
Provide end-to-end data connectivity solutions Provide insights and consulting to internal clients regarding data and data systems architecture needs. Represent and advocate for the local site to global departments regarding data needs and data roadmap. Participate in IT and non-IT projects. Provide support for data solutions and systems. Participate and manage medium/large size projects, demonstrate solid technical knowledge, require limited direction, handle complex problems, have knowledge of the policies, standards and procedures. Identify opportunities to use data to improve our processes. Work with customers to understand their business, provide updates on progress and to anticipate needed IT solutions based on business and technical knowledge. Manage (educate and influence) the business process owner. Review team, group and service deliverables to ensure quality (design walk-through, test results) and adherence to the processes, standards and regulatory requirements. Participate in the budget process and monitor the budget. Assist the business with IT capital and operating expense investment requirements. Participate in the research, analysis, selection, implementation and validation of new technologies and services. Create training and support plans for users on new technologies, applications or business systems. Experience with GMP systems and IT systems change management process. Experience with data visualization tools (PowerBI, Qlik/Qliksense) preferred Experience with data transport tools (Datameer, Mulesoft) is a plus What you bring to Takeda:
Bachelor's degree in information technology or related technical field with 6
years of related experience Experience with databases (MS SQL, MySQL, Oracle), database structure, database server administration, and creating and testing queries. Knowledge of databases, data flow, dashboarding, and data analytics. Experience coaching Experience delivering projects What Takeda can offer you:

Work in a controlled environment requiring special gowning and wear protective clothing over the head, face, hands, feet and body. This may include additional hearing protection for loud areas. Need to remove all make-up, jewelry, contact lenses, nail polish and/or artificial fingernails while in the manufacturing environment. Work in a cold, wet environment. Work multiple shifts, including weekends, or be asked to work supplemental hours, as necessary. Work around chemicals such as alcohol, acids, buffers and Celite that may require respiratory protection. More about us:

Salary Range:
$100K -- $150K
