Operations Development Program (ODP) Associate - All Locations

The ODP Associate will gain valuable experience across Shire?s BioScience Operations including but not limited to Production, Quality, Supply Chain / Logistics, Technical Services, Engineering, and Continuous Improvement (Lean/Six Sigma), Project Management, as well as leadership. This is a rotational program with three (3), nine (9) month rotations in various US locations. Candidates will be responsible for learning and understanding various aspects of rotational assignment within the following examples, such as:

  • Quality ?will ensure adequate adherence and deployment of quality systems such as batch record review, product release, change control, exception management, and product annual reviews.
  • Supply Chain?will learn distribution, purchasing, warehouse operations and planning within a manufacturing environment.
  • Manufacturing?will be responsible for learning, understanding and leading a manufacturing processes and/or team as well as support systems that ensure quality and on time delivery of product in a safe manner
  • Project Management?will be responsible for learning and understanding all aspects of project management as it applies to project execution on critical facility project(s). The areas in which this candidate will run the project(s) will include but not be limited to Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality Assurance, Supply Chain Management and Information Systems
  • Engineering ? will learn how to develop, evaluate and improve manufacturing methods by utilizing knowledge of product design, fabrication processes, tooling and production equipment capabilities, assembly methods, quality control standards and soliciting observations from operators. Will also learn equipment commissioning process (e.g. developing URS, FRS, DDS, performing FAT/SAT, FMEA and qualification).


Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
